September 21, 2016 "First day of Fall"

Hello All!

It is supposed to be the first day of Fall, but it feels like the hottest part of summer!!!   Now I'm noto complaining, just stating a fact!:):)

Our investigator friend, Yvonne is getting baptized this Saturday.   She was going to be baptized last month, but she had some problems with her children not wanting her to be baptized.  She asked Elder Tefteller to baptize her.  It will be at 9 am.  Please pray that it will happen.   She is so excited and wants to be baptized.

We have some great Elders and Sisters serving in our Ward.   Elder Carpuz, Elder Parker, Sister Bishop and Sister Bentley!  They are 4 awesome missionaries.   We get the privilege of having them in our home and feeding them.   Everyone should be so blessed.  The Sisters having been working with Yvonne for quite some time now.   Sister Peterson was one of the original Sisters that taught her, so we are going to pick her up in Liberty to come down for the baptism on Saturday.  We love our young Elders and Sisters!!!

We had FHE here Monday night!    We had 27 Senior missionaries in our apartment.   We were all snug as a bug in a rug!!     It was tight but we did it.   We had dinner, and then we invited our Stake President, President Cato and his wife come and share their conversion story and testimonies.   It was amazing.   The Spirit was so strong!   They use to be RLDS.  President Cato was a 4th generation RLDS.  I wish everyone could hear their story!!  Very faith promoting!!

Did I mention I got a new oven?   Mine was definitely done working.   We went to the office one day at noon and told them about it.   She said she would put in a work order.    We went and did some errands and returned home at 3, and to my delightful surprise, the new oven had been installed!!!  Of course I had to bake something that very minute.   I can now bake two cakes at the same time!   It's awesome!!
The new oven.   One of the Seniors said it doesn't match your other appliances.   I said, I don't care....I love it!!
When you go from a double convection oven to a regular oven it is very hard!!! So to be able to bake two cakes at one time is a Christmas Miracle!!!

Sometimes missionaries have to put up with little problems!   This is our most recent one.  Ties falling off the shower wall.   They are quick to come fix it however!

This is minor to compared to what's going on at home.    We are looking at either replacing the motor for the furnace/air conditioning, or we are looking at getting a brand new unit all together.   The house in Highland is 22 years old, so I guess it's time for problems to begin....you hope they would wait a few more years, but it is what it is.   Plus we are having problems with the sprinkling system, so that might have to be replaced!!!  Fun times!

Well, we have some errands to run!    Thanks for taking time out of your busy day and reading this.    We love this Gospel and know that it is the only true Church of Jesus Christ here on the earth.  We testify of the Prophet Joseph Smith.   And we know that President Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet called today to lead and guide this Church!  We love you all and pray that as the holiday season is coming upon us that you will all be blessed with love, patience, and kindness, and most important that you will look around to see those who could use your love and support.  Service is the Lord's way and we are happier when we are losing ourselves in His service.
Until next time...read your scriptures and be happy!!!
Love, The Teftellers
