It doesn't seem real that we are going home soon! It's exciting yet it seems sad in many ways. Sad to leave all the wonderful friends we'll leave behind. We're excited in so many ways......1. We have been gone over 2 years.....2. We get to see our grandbabies. Several were born while we were gone, so we get to meet them! 3. Elder Tefteller never got to retire. We took off to visit kids his last day of work......then we headed to Washington D.C. to begin our first mission. Then we came straight to our Mission here in Independence. We hope after awhile we can serve more missions! That is our goal. I wish I had the gift of speaking with tongues!!! We meet so many people from all over the world, and can't communicate with them. It would be fun!!! Serving a mission has helped us to see everyone as Heavenly Father's children, and realize how much he loves all humans, regardless of their walk in life. That has helped us to be less judgmental, more loving and accepting, and have more compassion for others! We encourage all couples, who are able to serve a mission. Give it prayerful consideration! It's well worth all the sacrifices you have to make to serve
The Santa Fe Branch had a Fiesta Internationale last night and here are some pictures from that fun activity. Everyone had to represent the country they are from. Us, two sister missionaries and two Elder's represented the USA. I baked chocolate chip cookies, we had apple pie and made hot dogs and chips. I couldn't believe how popular our table was!!:):):)
IT WAS A WONDERFUL EVENING!!! ELDER TEFTELLER AND THE YOUNG missionaries sang some popular songs of the US. Then we did the jitterbug.
