Senior Missionaries and the Missouri State Fair!!

Sunday, August 14, 2016

We were invited by Elder and Sister Ross to go to the Missouri State Fair.  We left 8:30 Saturday morning for Sedalia, Missouri.  It was about 75 miles from Independence.   Lucky for us, it was much cooler than it had been all week.   But it was still hot at times.   We tried to spend as much time in the shade as we could.   As you can see by the pictures below, most of us wore hats:
The Teftellers with the Ross' at the Missouri State Fair.
 Walking to the Fair....
You can see what beautiful weather we had!!   Sister Christensen taking my picture.
A 4-H girl wanting everyone to take pictures because they were having a contest with the 4-H Boys to see who could take the most pictures!!!
Glenn wanted to have his picture taken with Elder Eyring!!!  (So he thinks!!)

That's what I call "Piggerly Love!!!!!!  This was our favorite barn!!!   Someone told us that all the pigs in the barn are very well taken care of!!   They all had big huge fans blowing on them.
I of course, had to try ice cream from a Dairy in Missouri.   This was a display they had of a cow made out of butter.   I had to take the picture through a window, because it was in a refrigerated room!!!
We had Zone Conference.   It was amazing as usual!!!   A Sister Missionary painted this canvas of a tree...with the Independence Visitors Center and Temple in the back ground.   The leaves had the names of every missionary that served under President and Sister Vest.   It is beautiful!!!
If you look closely, you can see our names....
I met this sweet Sister Missionary before we both came out on our missions.  We met at a Distribution Center.   She was ahead of me in line, and the cashier asked her where she was serving her mission.   When I heard Independence, I walked up and introduced myself.  Well...we were at Zone Conference and she came up to me and reminded me of when we met.   I sent this picture to her mother.   Her mother said she even remembered me!!!  Small World!!
As we were leaving Zone Conference, these little creatures were walking in the road.
I didn't get them all in the picture...there were a ton on the right of this picture.
Elder Tefteller, and Elder and Sister Ross, ready for a fun time at the Fair.   We lasted from 10 am to
6 pm before we headed home.
I wanted to share my testimony that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God.  He saw the Father and the Son and he translated the Book of Mormon.   NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!!!!  People can say what they want, and they will, but my testimony is solid!! I may not know all the answers to all the questions that arise, but that's ok!!!   I know that we are all a part of Heavenly Fathers' Plan, that the Church of Jesus Christ is the only true Church on the face of the earth!!!!  God lives!!!
Until next time.....read your scriptures!!!   Love,  The Teftellers
